SAT and ACT preparation
One-to-one preparation for high school students, planned around your student's goals and target schools.
How sessions are structured
Both tests reward students who know the content and understand how the exam is built. I teach both.
The math, grammar, and reading skills each test covers, taught in the order that fits the student.
Pacing and question selection, once the content is solid.
Timed, full-length tests. Each one shapes the next week's plan.
Rehearsing pacing and planning for test morning, so the real exam feels familiar.
What is included
Every SAT and ACT student receives the following.
A baseline test that shows the student's strengths and gaps before teaching begins.
Live one-to-one sessions online, scheduled around your student's week.
Targeted practice between sessions, assigned and reviewed each week through the student dashboard.
Timed and proctored, followed by a written review of the results.
Parents can see what the student is working on and how scores are changing.
The final weeks focus on pacing and a plan for the morning of the exam.
A typical engagement
Most families work with me for three to six months. A typical schedule looks like this.
Week 0
A call about your student, the target exam, and the schools on their list.
Weeks 1-2
A full diagnostic, then a written plan with score targets and a session schedule.
Weeks 3-12
Weekly sessions and homework, with the plan adjusted as scores come in.
Final weeks
Timed full-length tests and focused review before the exam.
Test day and after
When scores come back, I go over them with you and help you decide whether a retake makes sense.
SAT or ACT
Most colleges accept either test equally. I help each family choose during the initial planning.
Digital and adaptive
The SAT has moved fully digital and adaptive. The exam is shorter than it once was, with a stronger emphasis on reading comprehension in shorter passages and on algebra-heavy mathematics.
Faster pace, broader content
The ACT moves faster and covers a wider range of content. Its Science section is now optional.
